walking in filth

I am getting increasingly frustrated with the filth and garbage in Mapusa. It is so disgusting and walks are not leisurely nor pleasurable. Walking here has become an exercise in holding your nose, averting your eyes and stepping lively.

Mapusa used to be so beautiful – and it still is under all the mess. It is frustrating how disgusting people’s habits have become – garbage (organic, plastic, and worse) thrown all over the place and peeing all over the place. I wanted to do a few walks every morning, but it is very difficult to feel motivated. I just have to get out and go.
